The Day of Veberable Sergius of Radonezh, Russia’s miracle-worker

This year the Russian World is celebrating 700 years since birth of Venerable Sergius of Radonezh. In his youth Sergius devoted his life to Lord, he lived in solitude and was diligent in achieving spiritual growth.

On becoming a priest, Sergius saved not only his own soul but many other people, who were striving to live according to his council. Life of Sergius of Radonezh is a high example of  purity and moderation, it teaches us how to keep one’s Faith and to pass it to the others.

Today is the Day of Sergius of Radonezh and it means, that his Great Deeds for Russian Soul are still our miracle-working spiritual beacons.
